Ernie Els,  known as the “Big Easy” in the golfing world, not only goes big when it comes to his golf, but he is also taking the world by storm by sharing his love of South African cuisine.

With a few successful restaurants already situated in Cape Town, Ernie Els took the opportunity to introduce South Africa to Miami through means of food by opening his restaurant “Big Easy Winebar & Grill”. South Africa is known as a country that makes food for the soul and it’s always exciting to see our cuisine enjoyed on an international level. With Executive Chef, Maryna Frederiksen at the forefront of this restaurant, her knowledge of food and SA heritage (born and raise on a farm in South Africa) makes her the perfect person to feed the crowds of Miami!

For something sweet, nothing beats the well-known Cape-Dutch Malva Pudding. This delightful dessert is the perfect end to a dining experience.

If you can’t come to South Africa, South Africa will come to you with the “Big Easy Winebar&Grill“.

Thank you Ernie for taking SA cuisine to the next level!

  1. I’m an autistic person and one of the things I enjoy doing is writing funny/random crazy stories that make me laugh (maybe they make you laugh too?) My blog is at http://www.AutisticWritings.com Maybe you’d also consider giving a small donation to help me survive? Life as an autistic person is kind of difficult to say the least, and it’s especially difficult to survive financially and so that is why I am requesting donations. Please check my blog for ways you can donate. Thank you very much for your kindness!
